Select the limbs or trunk that you think will be easy to work with and make the best group of candle holders.
I used a table saw to create the individual pieces. Select your height of each candlestick and progress slowly. (see notes on sizes I used) Be careful as you work not to damage the bark.
Next, choose the location where the tealight candle should go. Due to the bark being so fragile I secured the candle holders to a piece of scrap lumber to assist in locating the holes, a vice could be used to assist in the process.
With the candle holders secured we are ready to drill the hole for the tea light candle. In the center of each candlestick drill 3/4 inch into the wood. This depth will make the tea light candles flush with the candlholder.
Once you have finished this process remove the candle holders from the scrap lumber.
At this point you can sand the cut side of the candle holders or finish with linseed oil (optional)
Lastly, add the candles and enjoy!
