Easy Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

These Easy Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes require no draining and only 7 minutes of cooking time!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb peeled russet potatoes cut in small chunks
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and chop the potatoes into small chunks. Peel the garlic cloves.
  • Place the potatoes, garlic cloves and chicken broth in the Instant Pot.
  • Secure the lid and seal the valve. Press “steam” and adjust time to 7 minutes.
  • When cooking cycle has finished carefully manually release the steam.
  • Add milk, butter, sour cream, salt and pepper and mash with a potato masher until smooth.
