This Jalapeno Cheddar Frittata is a wholesome breakfast full of cheesy eggs, sausage, and veggies. All you will need is our step-by-step instructions and a few pantry staples for this recipe!
Over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking up as you go. When the sausage is nearly cooked through add the chopped peppers and saute 3-4 minutes until tender.
Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.
In a bowl whisk the eggs and heavy cream. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fold in one cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Carefully pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
Bake for 15 minutes and remove from the oven and add the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Bake an additional 6-10 minutes until the eggs have set.
Notes
I used a heat proof 9-inch cast iron skillet for this recipe. You can also use a 9 inch pie pan if you prefer. Be sure to prepare whatever dish you use by greasing it so the frittata does not stick.
