Sesame Noodle Bowl Ingredients
As always, you will find the complete recipe below, just keep scrolling. This is a quick overview of the ingredients you will need and an explanation in case you are unfamiliar with some of these ingredients:
- Noodles: gluten free or regular spaghetti noodles, rice noodles, pad thai noodles all work well in this recipe.
- Chicken: your favorite cut is fine, but I use boneless, skinless chicken breast.
- Orange Juice: bottled or freshly squeezed work perfectly.
- Butter: unsalted helps to control the sodium content, but salted is fine if that is all you have.
- Toasted Sesame Oil: creates that perfect sesame flavor that you love in Asian dishes!
- Soy Sauce: regular, gluten free, tamari or coconut aminos all work.
- Rice Vinegar: less acidic and milder than regular white vinegar.
- Chili Garlic Sauce: slightly sweet and spicy, can be found in the ethnic food aisle.
- Garlic: use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Spices: ground ginger, garlic powder, crushed red pepper
How do you make Sesame Noodles?
You just need to follow two simple steps to make the perfect Simple Sesame Noodles! Simply cook your noodles al dente, according to the instructions. Drain and rinse the noodles, put them back in the pot over low heat.
Combine the sauce ingredients with the noodles and stir well. Give the butter a chance to melt and top with sesame seeds, crushed red pepper, green onions and peanuts if desired!
How to make Sesame Orange Chicken
To begin, whisk the orange sesame marinade ingredients together until smooth. I like to remove about half of the marinade to use later for basting when grilling the chicken. Add the uncooked, cubed chicken to the bowl of marinade and stir until completely coated. Cover and chill for at least one hour or up to 24 hours.
Are Noodle Bowls good for Meal Prep?
Certainly! This recipe reheats perfectly and can be enjoyed warm or cold. Simple store in a sealed container in the fridge and the noodles can be enjoyed for up to 4 days.
