Materials for a DIY Fall Wreath
- Grapevine wreath: I used an 18 inch wreath, but assorted sizes available here.
- Artificial flowers: choose a long stem variety for the base and three flowers for the center. Similiar styles can be found here and here.
- Thin wire
- 2.5 inch Wire ribbon: similar style found here.
How do you make a DIY Fall Wreath
- Begin by cutting the wire stems using wire cutters. Leave approximately 6 inches of wire on each stem for weaving into the grapevine wreath.
- Starting with the longest pieces weave each stem into the base of the grapevine wreath as seen in the photos below.
- Next, place the three floral stems in the center, weaving the wire stems through the grapevine wreath, and arrange in any way you like.
- Lastly, use wire ribbon to create a double bow and place at the top of the wreath using the thin floral wire.
- Optional: You can add an additional loop of ribbon to easily hang your wreath like I did.
Easy DIY Fall Decor
This affordable fall wreath transitions perfectly from early Autumn to Thanksgiving. I prefer to weave the florals into the wreath instead of gluing them because it allows for a lot of flexibility. You can easily change the florals from season to season, or rearrange them for a new look.
