These Greek Chicken Kabobs are loaded with flavorful chicken, zucchini and red onion! At only 3.5 net carbs per serving this is a low carb keto friendly dinner you will love!
I have always loved the refreshing flavors of greek food. Traditional greek dishes are usually simply flavored and never over seasoned. The flavor profile often contains tangy lemon and Greek yogurt paired with fresh dill, garlic and smooth olive oil. These Greek Chicken Skewers are no different, they are the perfect light and healthy dinner!
What ingredients do you need for Greek Chicken Marinade?
This recipe has two components, the homemade marinade and the actual ingredients on the skewers. The ingredients for the Greek Chicken marinade include:
- Greek yogurt (I used a low carb version to make this keto friendly)
- Olive Oil
- Minced Garlic
- Italian Seasoning
- Salt, Pepper
- Lemon Juice
The kabobs itself has chunks of chicken, freshly sliced red onion and chunks of zucchini. You can certainly customize this based on your favorite proteins or vegetables but I love this flavor combination.
How do you make Greek Chicken Kabobs?
To begin, whisk the Greek marinade ingredients together until smooth. I like to remove about 2 tablespoons of the marinade to use later for basting when grilling the skewers. Add the uncooked, cubed chicken to the bowl of marinade and stir until completely coated. Cover and chill at least one hour or up to 24 hours.
When ready to cook assemble the skewers alternating the chicken and vegetables. Heat a grill to medium high heat (about 400 degrees) and grill 4-5 minutes on each side, basting occasionally for maximum flavor.
What should I serve with Greek Chicken Kabobs?
I served these family style on a board with keto tazitiki, hummus, olives, feta and other fresh vegetables. I love to serve dinner this way because it gives everyone an opportunity to create exactly the meal they want. You can easily make a salad by combining things or enjoy them individually. These are some other great side dish ideas you may enjoy:

- Greek Cucumber Salad (keto friendly)
- Bacon Wrapped Green Beans
- Keto Tazitki
- Garlic Herb Kale Chips
