These easy Sugar-Free Popsicles will be your favorite summer dessert! This easy recipe for healthy peanut butter chocolate yogurt pops is great for pool parties, get-togethers, and late-night cravings.
Greek Yogurt Popsicles
Why you’ll love this recipe:
- EASY – It truly doesn’t get easier than this. The blender does all the physical work–No chopping or mixing needed. There’s no cooking involved, and all you have to do is wait for them to set in the freezer. It’s perfect for kids, beginner cooks, or as a last-minute meal prep snack on the weekend.
- INEXPENSIVE – All ingredients needed are easy to buy in bulk to save money. While sugar-free chocolate chips aren’t as cheap as the regular version, a little bit goes a long way. These are filling, too, so you won’t be as tempted to eat extras!
- GREAT FOR A CROWD – As long as you have freezer space, you can easily make several batches of these for a great party dessert! You won’t have to worry about cooking or reheating a dessert while your guests wait. If you don’t have enough popsicle molds, simply use 5-ounce disposable cups and popsicle sticks.
Sugar-Free Popsicle Ingredients
Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll need for this recipe. For exact measurements, keep scrolling down to the printable recipe card.
- Greek yogurt – Vanilla or a plain, unflavored yogurt will work best. I used Vanilla Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt. Other brands that are sugar free and keto-friendly include Fage Total Zero or Chobani Sugar Free.
- Peanut butter powder & Cocoa powder – These give the popsicle it’s great flavor without adding loads of carbs and calories! Just make sure to use unsweetened, sugar-free powders.
- Milk – I used almond milk for lower carbs, but you can swap this out for dairy milk or other milk alternatives. Thinner milks (like rice or coconut) will result in icy popsicles that aren’t as creamy.
- Chocolate chips, Coconut oil, and Crushed peanuts – Sugar-free chocolate chips are melted with the oil to create a chocolate dipped coating! The crushed peanuts add a great crunchy texture. I don’t recommend any substitutes for the coconut oil–It sets best and refined coconut oil adds no coconut flavor.
How to make Sugar Free Popsicles
This easy recipe comes together quickly with no cooking, chopping, or whisking! You’ll just need a blender and a popsicle mold (or paper cups and popsicle sticks). Here’s a step-by-step guide for these deliciously creamy yogurt pops.
Mix the ingredients
Add the Greek yogurt, peanut butter powder, cocoa powder and almond milk to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Remember to scrape down the edges of the blender and blend completely.
Pour the mixture into popsicle molds. Freeze for at least 6 hours.
Add chocolate coating
Heat the coconut oil and sugar-free chocolate in 30-second increments, stirring in between, in the microwave until melted. Carefully dip the popsicles in the melted chocolate and top with crushed peanuts if desired.
Choose a jar or glass only slightly bigger than the width of the popsicles so you do not need tons of chocolate for dipping. Return popsicles to the freezer for chocolate to harden. Leave in the freezer (preferably in an airtight container to protect from freezer burn or other food flavors) until ready to serve.
Tips for the BEST Yogurt Popsicles:
- Use ingredients with more fat. For popsicles that taste rich and decadent, you want to use ingredients with more fat (like dairy milk over rice milk, Greek yogurt over regular yogurt, etc.). Low-fat ingredients will give you an icy texture instead of a creamy one.
- Freeze popsicles at least 6 hours. You want to make sure the popsicles are truly set and 100% frozen before dipping them in that melted chocolate. You’ll have a huge mess if the popsicles melt and mix in with the chocolate and coconut oil.
- Make the perfect size. If you have little kids, consider making these in a mini popsicle mold or small paper cups and popsicle sticks! Pop a cupcake liner over the popsicle stick to protect hands from getting too sticky.
Yogurt Popsicle Flavor Ideas
- Peanut Butter & Jelly – Replace the cocoa powder with more peanut butter powder and use a mixed berry Greek yogurt! You could melt sugar free white chocolate chips with peanut butter powder and sprinkle chopped dried strawberries on them, too.
- Chocolate Covered Strawberry – Replace the peanut butter powder with cocoa powder and use strawberry Greek yogurt. This would be great with the cherry yogurt, too!
- The Elvis – Replace cocoa powder with more peanut butter powder and use banana flavored Greek yogurt. You could even mix in some chopped bacon for a salty, surprising twist!
