How do you make affordable fall decorations?
Making your own fall decor is easier than you think! This easy Candy Corn decor can be made with just a few supplies and things you may already have around the house.
The first step is to select a 1 x 4 x 48″ piece of lumber. This something you can easily find at your local hardware store, but don’t forget to check your garage, you may already have one! Measure the width of the board at 3″ increments.
Next, set your miter saw to 24 degrees, with each cut, flip the board, creating a wedge 3″ wide and 3 1/2″ inches long. After you’ve cut 15 candy corn pieces, sand each one so the edges are nice and round.
The last step is to paint! You can see below in the step by step guide how I created a rack to easily apply the paint evenly. This makes it so easy to create a uniform look, but if you would rather freehand paint, that is fine too!
